Gary Fisher - The first and last name in mountain bikes.

Superfly

Increasingly, 29ers have been showing up the starting line of races. The Subaru-Gary Fisher Mountain Bike Team has fully embraced the 29er platform. No fewer than five team riders have chosen to race 29ers for short track, cross-country, and 24-hour races.

With the goal of the ultimate 29er race bike, Fisher created the carbon Superfly. Taking six years of 29er development experience and Trek's expertise in carbon design, the result is a stunningly fast bike that benefits from all the inherent advantages of bigger wheels yet has engineered solutions to the 29ers platform challenges.

Handling is quicker, with less effort, thanks to Genesis 2.0 geometry. Weight has been minimized throughout the frame and spec. Stiffness has been dramatically improved throughout the frame through unique tube shapes allowed with the carbon construction.

Fisher's ultimate 29er race bike, the carbon Superfly
1. Assymetric design balances drivetrain forces and improves overall stiffness
2. 10mm of rear tire clearance on each side with a 2.25" tire
3. Exclusive G2 51mm offset Fox Fork only available on Fisher 29ers
4. Reinforced design at seatmast cluster features a buttressed seattube/downtube junction
5. Robust, size-specific headtube junction improves front end rigidity and handling
6. Size of headtube junction is proportionate to bike size for a consistant ride quality across all sizes
7. Flattened underside of downtube improves stiffness and ride performance
8. Widest possible bottom bracket to prevent any flex and ensure pedaling efficiency
