Ken Onodera of the Subaru-Gary Fisher Mountain Bike Team won a recent Japanese National Mountain Bike Race. In addtion to that accomplishment, Ken made history by winning the first Japanese National race on a 29er.

Since 1979 Gary Fisher Bikes has intertwined mountain biking culture, its riders, and artistry. With that in mind, we asked some of our favorite designers to re-imagine the classic Fisher "Riding Marlin" icon. The result was a limited run of t-shirts that will be distributed at Sea Otter 2008.

Greg Watts is the Subaru-Gary Fisher dirt jump rider. Over the winter he's been tuning up his tricks and style in anticipation of the summer competitions. Last season he had the opportunity to participate in an exhibition in Puerto Rico. It was fantastic. This season he went back with a host of other top dirt jumpers. The following is his recap.

The annual Iceman Cometh race this past November 10-11 in Traverse City, Michigan was amazingly popular. Jeremy Horgan-Kobelski and Heather Irmiger of the Subaru-Gary Fisher team interrupted their off-season and pulled the bikes out for one last race. Heather Irmiger gives a recount.

2007 was a banner year for Willow Koerber, XC racer for the Subaru-Gary Fisher Mountain Bike Team. She's now sitting as one of the top American female riders headed into 2008 when the Olympic mountain bike roster will be decided. Willow took a minute to send in a recap of the long season.

Jenny Copnall of the Subaru-Gary Fisher Mountain Bike Team recently represented the UK at the World Mountain Bike Championships in Scotland. Being the top British elite female racer she competed in her individual race, but was also part of the UK team relay which consisted of an elite male, elite female, junior, under-23 racer. Below are Jenny's race reports from each event.

The Subaru-Gary Fisher Mountain Bike Team spent a week in Scotland at the World Mountain Bike Championships. The team brought over the full XC roster. Amidst the Scottish drizzle, all of the riders raced and placed near the top of American riders.

Sam Schultz and the rest of the Subaru-Gary Fisher Mountain Bike Team competed at the 2007 UCI World Mountain Bike Championships in Fort William, Scotland. The 22-year old bounced all the way back from some nagging health issues to represent the US and his Subaru-Fisher team amazingly well.

The President of Trek and Gary Fisher Bikes, John Burke, recently announced Trek’s campaign to change the world through bicycle advocacy, a program named "One World, Two Wheels: A Trek Commitment."

The 24 Hour Nationals took place on July 28-29 in Wausau, Wisconsin. Gary Fisher was the title sponsor again this year. In addition to throwing down good vibes, several Fisher riders finished on the podium.
